Always try and keep an open mind when trying to connect with your loved ones on the other side. Many times Souls on the other side come through to the Medium the way they looked before they passed on, or the way they thought they looked the best in this lifetime. I have one woman who always comes through as a blond, although she was blond for only about a month during her lifetime. Her family hated it, but she loved it! Immedietlly however, the sitter thought it was not the person he wanted to connect to because of the blond hair. I was able to give him details I would never have known, to confirm who she was.
I recently had another Soul come through very different at one of my last shows. The woman was coming through and trying to make the point to me that she loved things that glittered. She also saw herself living out some fantasy from an old Bogart movie, which was her favorite. She was however, coming through heavy set to me, not thin as she was in this lifetime, We finally figured out, it was because she always saw herself as overweight, and had an eating disorder.
Her family saw her as she was, very thin. She however, even in the afterlife, saw herself as overweight. You need to listen to what they are saying from the other side, and remember, you may not know everything about them that you thought you did!
